The gift from God that we are referring to here is made known through the Gospel. The word "gospel" means "good news". When Jesus walked on this earth he spoke of the good news of the kingdom of God. We want to briefly share this good news with you using the Bible verses below. Feel free to contact us if you have questions. If you want to read more from the Bible then the Gospel of John is a good place to start. The first 3 chapters of the book of Genesis might also be helpful in order to understand how things started between God and us. The hope that God offers to you can be found if you seek it.
The New International Version of the Bible says:
Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins. (Ecclesiastes 7:20)
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23)
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. (1 John 1:8)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
"Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. (John 5:24)
And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. (1 John 3:23)
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-- (John 1:12)
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)
If this makes sense to you and you would like to accept God's gift for you and make Jesus the Lord of your life, we suggest that you do two things.
